How it started

We matched in the summer of 2025 [on which app?] and got rained out more than once before we finally met. On our first date, Fabian stood up in the middle of a conversation about personality types and said “ENFP.” Bethany was sure he’d said “I need to pee.” We still laugh about it.

A week later Bethany was telling her friends it felt easy, and special. On August 7, 2025 she said “I love you” first. By September she’d made it official: “I choose you. I’m all in.”

Brazil

That Christmas, Fabian took Bethany home to Brazil. She met the whole family on Christmas Day, and the verdict was unanimous: they approve. Sitting in the sun a few days earlier, she texted him: “Thank you for bringing me here and showing me your world.” Before the trip was over she was already looking up boat days to Ilha Grande.

The proposal

In August 2026, [where and how Fabian proposed]. She said yes.
