Two cultures, one family
Everything this week leads here. A Texan and a Brazilian, two families, two languages and one very long guest list, all together for one night. We'll say our vows as the sun goes down, then celebrate the way both of our cultures know best: with food, music and dancing until late.
Thank you for crossing oceans, borders and time zones to be with us. It means more than we can say.
Did you know?
- Bem-casados, 'well-married' cakes, are little sweets Brazilian couples give their guests to wish everyone a sweet life.
- In Brazil, single friends sometimes write their names inside the hem of the bride's dress, hoping to be the next to marry.
- Expect the Texas two-step and samba on the same dance floor.
